Chaka Khan

Chaka Khan is a famous American musician and singer. She's also known by her infamous nickname, The Queen of Funk. In the course of her long career of more than 50 years she was awarded 10 Grammys. Billboard declared her to be the 65th most famous dancer in history. Her grandmother introduced her to jazz when she was young. When she first started her career she played in various bands. She later joined a band that was named Rufus. When she was twenty the singer released her first album, along in the band. In the year following, the group won their very first Grammy. A few years later she debuted as a solo artist, and the album was self-titled. In the following years, she released a number of albums, including "Echoes from an Era," The Woman I am as well as Funk This. Alongside her music activities, her work in the charitable sector has gained her a lot of attention. She founded her foundation, the Chaka Khan Foundation to help kids from families with low incomes, as well as children with autism. Khan performs as an actress from time to time.
